University Centre of Bioinformatics, T.M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur was established in 2005 with motto to provide learning opportunity in the field of Bioinformatics and funded by DBT, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India under BTISNet (Biotechnology Information System Network) Program. It is a matter of great pride for our University that this is the only Sub-DIC Bioinformatics Centre in the State of Bihar which caters to the needs of U.G. and P.G. students of Science faculty, Teachers and Research Scholars. Since its inception, the Centre has conducted classes regularly on Computer Application and Bioinformatics for U.G. and P.G. Students of Science/Biotechnology and has also provided networking information facility through internet to faculties and research scholars of Bhagalpur University and also to other universities of Bihar. In fact, the Centre has been functioning on Integrated Information Resource on all aspects of Biological Science in gene and Molecular Biological data/Data-Mining of Biological Resources in particular.
